48 is mainly what I'm talking about, they did it a lot. One city/village I remember off of the top of my head is Megiddo, Israel, only remember it because its supposed to be where the world ends according to Christianity I think.

Lets remember Israel was attacked after the 1st day they were given the land by multiple muslim nations and fought that war for 13 months if I am not mistaken. Most of the desturction was because of battles where the muslims were attacking them from. Its not like they just went in and wiped it out.

Dude, you do realize your link debunks that? He never said that and it was passed around in a chain-email, that's what your link even says.

What has he flip-flopped on? Taxes haven't been raised, Bushes ban on fed funding on stem cell research was lifted, working on healthcare reform at the moment(that's been fought vigorously)...almost 7 months into office and he's been working his ass off. Has a huge mess and somethings will take time, there's been plenty of prioritizing and that's going to frustrate some people - i.e. the gay/lesbian groups that say he's not doing what he said he was soon enough. But as for constantly flip-flopping? Haven't seen that, but have seen a man with a huge plate and trying to clean the mess he inherited up. No one believed or said he'd come in and be a miracle worker, no matter how much the right claims that we did, he's doing what he can even though he's not a year into his first term.

    Taxes haven't been raised
They will end up being raised tho--there's next to no way around that due to the economic state we're in currently. All depends on who/what taxes get raised on.

    But as for constantly flip-flopping?
I don't think he said "constant". I think it was more appearance thusfar than anything...and that's mainly from the prioritizing of certain issues that has occured so far.

On any level of politics, you don't change everything all at once--it'd be utter chaos. You concentrate on an issue (or 2 or 3 if related), and try to get it changed/tweaked if needed. Anyone who mocks Obama by saying "where's all the change?" or even pro-Obama people who are upset that he hasn't gotten to their pet project yet and expected everything to change automatically...they need to sit down and watch the South Park episode "About Last Night" that lampoons both of those mindsets. Hopefully they'd realize how dumb either stance is.

Exactly. Geitner said the other day in one interview I heard after being pushed on the issue, that yes taxes are going to have to be raised. He didn't want to say it but, was finally forced into admitting it.

Yeah--it sucks...but no matter how much we hate taxes and love tax cuts, it's an economic truth that in order to get out of a deficit that revenues must increase--and the government's sole source of revenue? Taxation.
